If there is one thing that I have wanted to cross off my bucket list while on vacation, it would be this! I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph this adorable family of 5 from Virginia in front of Roatan's stunning backdrop at golden hour! I fell in love with this spot the first time I came to Roatan. Unlike the other beach's on the island I have been too, this one seems to always be pretty quiet and secluded. Theres a really good snorkling spot and the scenery is incredible. I thought it would be the perfect backdrop for a vacation family shoot. Right before the sun went down on a friday afternoon, I met Karen, Jon, and their three adorable girls, Josie and Ella who are 9 year old twins and their little 7 year old sister, Phoebe to snap some candid, carefree shots.

I won’t lie to you all by saying I wasn’t a bit (ok a lot) nervous about taking photos of a family I had never met, let alone spoken to before but I knew that the backdrop would allow for some beautiful shots and I was really excited about that. In the end, I had absolutely nothing to worry about because this young family was so photogenic, funny and full of life and love for one another! The girls were so much fun to work with and they were such naturals in front of the camera. I had so much fun giving Jon and Karen their "unprompted promts" and making them laugh. I truly hope they enjoyed having my camera in their face a little more than they usually do. 

This session is going down in the books for me. I cannot wait to do another session while on vacation with my feet in the sand and the beautiful tropics as my backdrop!
